This week sees the return of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world's largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship. Taking pace in 115 countries from November 12th-18th, the week will feature tens of thousands of events worldwide to support entrepreneurship - with hundreds all over the UK.

These range from seminars and debates to networking events and practical workshops - and they're all structured around a central theme: Pass it on! With the aim of encouraging business-owners to pass on their skills, contacts, knowledge, confidence and resources, Global Eentrepreneurship Week (GEW) is asking supporters to:

  • encourage those people who are not yet entrepreneurs to think about starting up their own business

  • improve entrepreneurship skills for aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups

  • help people to access practical support - locally, regionally and nationally.

Last year more than 900 organisations got involved in the week here in the UK, helping the campaign to reach 213,000 people through 2,305 activities.

What's happening near you?

There are hundreds of events up and down the UK, with something for everyone interested or involved in entrepreneurship.
