Gerald Russell, my ex-managing partner at EY and ex-president of the ICAEW. He had the perfect mix of hard, productive work, respect for anyone at any level, whilst at the same time injecting the right amount of fun,

What has been your biggest challenge?
Setting up Allen Consulting at the same time as our twins were born 11 weeks prematurely.
What has been your greatest success?
Receiving such kind and complimentary testimonials from my clients over the years.
What piece of advice do you wish you had known when starting out?
Be true to yourself, not the perception of who you think people think you should be.
Why do you consider long-term strategic advice important to business success?
By having a clearly articulated and flexible long term strategy with appropriate KPIs to measure its success, you maximise the potential of the business, whilst not stifling the entrepreneurial flare. By working with a strategic advisor who has significant, practical experience in growing businesses, you can accelerate your business' potential and long term success.
If you had a superpower what would it be and why?
To predict the future. It would certainly make defining a company's strategy easier!
