Last week we asked you to share your small wins with rest of the community; the little victories that add up to major accomplishments.

We think it’s important to celebrate those wins and to recognise how far you’ve come in your entrepreneurial journey, so over the next few weeks we’ll be publishing some of them on our blog, in our newsletters, and across our social media channels.

Here’s 10 members of the Enterprise Nation community with something to celebrate.

Danielle, Savora Drinks

“Born in Edinburgh, Savora is a premium mixer expertly crafted for pairing with Tequila. We source ingredients locally, use sustainable packaging and responsibly manage our waste. This week we have welcomed our three interns on board - our very first employees! It’s crazy to think that little over a year ago my co-founder and I were sitting in the kitchen making drinks. We are now a team of 5 people, all with a single mission: to create a culture of sipping, not slamming, this beautiful spirit. We hope you are excited to rewrite your Tequila story”.

Omar Meho, Music Workflow Academy

“I used to tour the world as a DJ before the pandemic hit. Now, through my online tutoring platform, Music Workflow Academy, I teach thousands of students across the world how to DJ like a pro. From learning how to double drop to recording their first mix, my students benefit from live demonstrations, one-to-one sessions and group teaching – all designed to help them break into the music industry. I’ve amassed 23,000 followers on Instagram and this year I’ve been featured in both The Daily Mail and The Metro”.

Lucy and Paul Hull, For The Love of The North

“For the Love of the North is an indie shop based in North Tyneside. Since 2017, we have dedicated our professional and personal lives to celebrating all things Northern. We offer high quality gifts, prints and cards all sourced directly from artists who live and work in the North East of England. After 4 years we're delighted to be expanding across the UK and have just launched The Stationery Society - a monthly subscription box that’s packed with items designed and produced in the UK by talented artists. We are so excited to see what the future holds for our little brand and hope you’re all ready to join us on our journey”.

Leyla Okhai, Diverse Minds UK Ltd

“At Diverse Minds we support organisations to invest in their staff to create an open, healthy, happy and productive workplace. When the pandemic struck last year our business took a real nose-dive. I used the time to build my brand and grow my mailing list. I joined many Enterprise Nation webinars, and I also attended the Women in Business event, which was a great way to boost my motivation. Now I am fully booked until October 2021 and have set up an associate scheme. I have 10 associates ready and delivering training on mental health, wellbeing and race equality. I never expected to grow, so this has been amazing. Plus it supports fellow business women of colour to enhance their skills and transition from a job to entrepreneurship”.

Keisha Shah, Teddo Play

“Teddo Play is a family-run British brand creating versatile play-based educational learning products for 2-14 year olds. Last week we were selected by Theo Paphitis as one of his Small Business Sunday winners. It's been a great boost to have this acknowledgement from such a renowned entrepreneur. I am so pleased that THE man finally laid his eyes on our small business. As a result, we were also featured in our local news.

Being a part of Enterprise Nation has been life-changing for me in many ways. As a start-up business I found it difficult to find like-minded people to connect with but with Enterprise Nation I can focus my time and energy on one singular platform that helps me learn and grow, all whilst making some truly great connections and friendships”.

Jen, Margot & Montañez

“At Margot and Montanez we’re on a mission to bring a redefined version of South American sweet indulgences to everyone. Combining authentic family recipes with flavour inspirations from around the world we’ll take you on a journey of discovery with our delicious treats. We’re thrilled to have recently been listed at both the food and wine market at Fenwick, Kingston, and Hillier in Syon Park. And just yesterday we were named by The Grocer as one of the top 10 food & drink innovations to find in farm shops and delis”.

Lucy Jeffrey, Bare Kind

“Bare Kind saves animals through the sale of bamboo socks for men and women. 10% of the profit from each pair sold is donated to an animal conservation or rescue charity. Bare Kind went from being my side-hustle to full-time gig when I quit my job in December 2020. Since then I’ve had the time to accelerate sales and this year I took my first ever salary from the business. Taking a salary from something I have built from the ground up is such a satisfying feelings! I have a taste for it now. I won't be going back to the corporate world if I can help it”.

Nita Kothari, Love Cats Croydon

“Love Cats Croydon is a professional cat sitting service, specialising in taking care of your fur babies in their own homes. We make sure your kitties are safe, fed and watered whilst you’re away. I’ve had quite the year of small wins. In 2020 I built my own website – the first website I’ve ever built. I’ve also reached 500 followers on Instagram and received over 40 five-star online reviews. I’m now fully booked through to September”.

Jonny Parker, YABBA BEER

“After graduating from university my best friend Matt and I travelled to Australia, where we were blown away their fine tasting, low calorie beers. Upon our return to the motherland we felt dissatisfied by British offerings, so we decided to make it ourselves. We spent almost a year and a half building YABBA BEER alongside our day jobs. Enterprise Nation has been a tremendous support network – it’s what inspired us to take the leap. Finally we launched at the start of this month and we sold out of over half of our stock (which we’d anticipated to last 6-9 months) in the just two weeks”.

Jason Conway, The Daydream Academy

“I’m a professional daydreamer and problem solver. I design logos, packaging, websites and much more. I also help clients with their marketing strategy. I feel extremely fortunate to have been recognised for my creative services and I’ve recently been named ‘Best digital brand design agency, Gloucestershire’, won ‘Creative business of the year’ at the Southern Enterprise Awards, and was recognised as ‘Website training provider of the year’ at the Central England Prestige Awards.

I’m also an Enterprise Nation adviser and have found being in the company of other successful advisors inspirational. You can connect with me here.
