What is your favourite business book and why?

How Cool Brands Stay Hot. As researchers it provides insights into the consumer psychology and behaviour of next gen consumers. It reveals how they think, feel and behave, offering proven strategies to market to these groups more effectively and remain a relevant, appealing brand.

Richard Branson, for obvious reasons!

Describe your business in a tweet.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Creating a successful operating business 5-9pm while working our day jobs. We have had to ensure we manage our diaries effectively to ensure we perform to the best of our abilities in both. It's been challenging but really exciting too.

What has been your greatest success?

Working with different clients to help them on their journeys to success. Seeing them use and apply our research findings to their strategy, then watching their businesses go from strength to strength. It's exciting! We work so closely with our clients, we become more than research partners but more as trusted friends.

What piece of advice do you wish you had known when starting out?

Some people are nice and some people are not. Matthew came up with this when we experienced those negative people along our journey. Those who let us down and those who had nothing constructive or helpful to say. To the risk, enjoy the rollercoaster but never lose faith. The enthusiasm you have for what you do will be why other buy into your business.

Why do you consider long-term strategic advice important to business success?

As long term strategies are designed to ensure businesses grow, any advice which can be used to support growth is essential.

If you had a superpower what would it be and why?

Teleportation! In London that means no more busy commutes, Tube delays or strikes. In the bigger picture, we could go global in the blink of an eye! No more dead time on a plane; it would 9am in London, 10am in New York!
