What is your favourite business book and why?

Apart from my own of course (!), I have just read 

 by Denise Duffield Thompson who has some great tips on how to run your business without the normal stress with some really down to earth analogies. And it works to change your mindset

My current business hero is Sigrun who is making an amazing online business from her SOMBA courses

My biggest challenge has been going from corporate life to that of an entrepreneur. Everything has taken longer than I thought from getting started to finally making a living.

My greatest success is the launch of the Yumie brand which we did four years ago at IFE.

We designed the product well, got great coverage at IFE and went from zero to £500,000 in six months

What piece of advice do you wish you had known when starting out?

As per my biggest challenge, everything takes longer than you think it is going to. I still work with clients and say we can have this launched in six months and a year later, we are up against it!

Why do you consider long-term strategic advice important to business success?

Long term strategic advice can provide the helicopter view that we lose when were are working in our business. It is good to have someone to help you work on your business and let you see how the strategy can evolve

If you had a superpower what would it be and why?

My superpower would be to feed all the world so there was no more food poverty
