What is your favourite business book and why?

Jab Jab Right Hook. Absolutely the best book for understanding the importance of content and social media and how to make the most of it. Any budding entrepreneur should read this book.

Who is your business hero and why?

By default (of my favourite book) Gary Vaynerchuk is a brilliant role model for how use technology to sell. He started off creating a YouTube channel to sell wine and has since expanded into creating his own media empire.

Describe your business in a tweet.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Coming from a broadcast background, I've had to get used to not just telling stories but learn how to make people act on those stories, so either clicking on a website link or buying your product.

What has been your greatest success?

I'm proud to have won an RTS award and been BAFTA nominated in my previous life as a BBC producer.

What piece of advice do you wish you had known when starting out?

There's no such thing as 'the right age'. You don't have to follow a predefined career path. You don't have to be scared of having ideas because you're too young.

Why do you consider long-term strategic advice important to business success?

Everyone has to know where they're going. It's hard to make your way to your goal without a plan. Strategy is about having a plan and being able to measure where you are up to.

If you had a superpower what would it be and why?

I wish I could speak any language and know what people really think. I think bad communication is one of the biggest barriers so if I could understand that it would be so much easier!
