 began during the COVID-19 lockdown of winter 2021. Jennifer knew that e-commerce was the way to build an additional business from the Highlands. And with launching a new company, she also wanted to have a social responsibility aspect to it built in from the start.

As her children are both surfers and her family spend a lot of time by the sea, supporting local seas and oceans was a natural cause that, as a family, they could really get behind and believe in.

How do I do that? Here&apos;s my backstory.
I&apos;m a web designer and digital marketer by trade. Over the years, I&apos;ve become known as a specialist in ecommerce and consumer behaviour.
Much of my work in web design blends neuroscience with brand psychology to solve complex business challenges, connecting the dots between company goals and customers&apos; needs.
But recently, I&apos;ve discovered that the techniques I use all the time — The Halo Effect, Processing Fluency and The Six Principles of Influence — can also help companies increase sales, secure funding and expand operations globally.
So, in 2022, thanks to a grant from Baroness Karren Brady, I stopped freelancing and founded Impulsiv®, an ecommerce consultancy specialising in interaction design. Now, I help CEOs and brand leaders determine what to say to customers (the strategy) and how to show up online (the design).
From bespoke ecommerce websites and digital campaigns to novel technology use cases, clients use my design and development services to improve the customer experience. All of them help elevate their brand and their bottom line.

But I knew I had a strong business acumen that was yet to be explored plus my operational and management background that would see me through the journey. So I boldly stepped out into the world of entrepreneurship, however, what was before me I could have never predicted. I had no support, I found that lacked practical experience in the startup world. My entrepreneurial journey was characterised by the pain of making costly mistakes, a constant fear of failure, and loneliness. Until I started working in a startup studio with a team of super-smart founders, techies, creatives, and investors. I learned how to build businesses the right way with the right support. I have now taken the learnings of building ventures and adapted them to help people who have ideas they want to turn into businesses, and people already in business and want to build and scale the right way. I use venture-building methodologies that I have adapted to build and turn any type of concept into a scaleable business with a lasting legacy.&nbsp;
The reason why I do this is because I believe that ideas should not be wasted and the founder&apos;s journey is paramount to building well and building successful businesses that last. I want to help founders &quot;build-right first-time&quot; with support and stop accepting loneliness, stress and burnout as a norm. Using proven frameworks and my startup experience, I help founders avoid the common pitfalls that lead to failure.
