**Describe your business.**Describe your business in one sentence.

Piccolo uses Mediterranean inspired family recipes and 100% organic ingredients to create tasty, nutritious and balanced meals for babies.

We are passionate about giving all children the best start in life and so are also committed to giving 10% of our profits to food education charities.

What's the story behind your business?

I started my career working for the UN, supporting food agencies and campaigning for good, healthy food to be understood and available.

I then became head of the non-profit organisation Slow Food UK and set about transforming the way we think about food and championing small producers and regional sustainable sourcing.

I decided create the kind of quality, Mediterranean baby food meals that I could not find when feeding my daughter and set up Piccolo in 2016.

By inviting retailers round to my Covent Garden house for a traditional Mediterranean sweet potato and beef ragu and taking home cooked Italian lemon cake to trade shows, I launched Piccolo with a bang and we are now the fastest growing baby food brand and making real waves in the category.

I've attended many Enterprise Nation events and found them really useful, interesting and full of great business contacts and inspirations.

I was also a semi-finalist in the Enterprise Naion Female Start-up of the Year competition in 2016.
