StartUp Britain website What a week for StartUp Britain. From launch to headlines, we've received thousands of site visitors, hundreds of comments and there's more to come! You may have spotted my post on Monday announcing the launch of a national campaign to encourage more people to start a business and support existing businesses to grow. And what a week it has been! A big thank you to everyone who has been in touch to extend support, offers, advice and input. The website and campaign grows stronger day by day thanks to you. * On Monday, we launched * On Tuesday, we responded (thanks for points flagged re 99designs & a couple of other links that needed fixing on the site!) * On Wednesday, we chatted (please see here for Bitsy webchat where I answered your questions on the campaign) * On Thursday, we welcomed StartUp Italia into the fold! This is good for Italy but also good for us as we have a vision of small businesses inspired by their host StartUp campaign trading with each other * On Friday, we work to continue building a campaign and resource that inspires people to start a business with links to useful content and valuable offers. There is more to come. There are new offers, exclusive to StartUp Britain being developed and new partnerships being formed. What remains constant is my motivating factor for being one of the campaign founders which is this:

'50% of people in the UK dream about starting a business but only 5% are doing something about it.'

It's high time to assist the 45% who are considering next steps and wondering what to do and where to go. StartUp Britain is here to help you and we will continue to innovate to deliver for you. It's time to fully realise the potential of this enterprising nation and that's just what StartUp Britain will do. Thanks again for your help and support this week.
