Snap, crackle and pop! This week on Enterprise Nation

In our regular Sunday updates, head of content Dan Martin looks back at the past week on Enterprise Nation.
We just love a pop-up at EN and it seems you small business owners love them too!
I spent most of the week hanging out at the final stop on our five week tour of locations across the UK with pop-up business support clinics. It was a brilliant five days in the Friska cafe in Bristol as loads of entrepreneurs turned up to benefit from the expertise of some great advisers.
We had everything from people with just an idea on a piece of paper to business owners who have been trading for several years and are looking for that next stage of growth. Some conversations was full of laughs while others got deep and serious as the advisers challenged the business owners on exactly where they wanted to take their company. Basically it was entrepreneurship in all its forms!
Get a taster of what happened in this report recorded by BBC Radio Bristol who joined us on opening day:
More than 100 business owners and 50+ advisers took part in the initiative supported by Simply Business and we thank them all. I think we've proved that delivering business support in accessible locations on the high street does indeed work!
The pop-up support isn't completely over though as we announced this week our involvement in Pop Up Horsham @ Tesco, a new store for small retailers open during October next to a Tesco in West Sussex. Advisers will be on hand every Tuesday and Wednesday to help the tenants and entrepreneurial passers-by so pop in to get some tips!
Meet the Journalists is one of our most popular series of events and it sold out again on Tuesday so we welcomed national newspaper, radio and online journalists to our London HQ to offer tips on how to get coverage in the media.
We've decided to roll the event out in other locations so I'll be in our Northern hub in Barnsley on Tuesday (6 October) with journalists from the Financial Times, Mail on Sunday and BBC Radio Sheffield to host the first Meet the Journalists North. Please join us by buying a ticket here!
Speaking of popular events, our regular StartUp Saturday one day course will be huge next month as we announced that we'll be organising the biggest ever one during Global Entrepreneurship Week in October. Find out more here.
As huge events go, a trip to China is pretty big! We'll be heading to Shanghai on 14 October with 40 great British businesses and revealed the full programme this week. Download it here. You'll be able to follow our adventures on the blog.
A new feature launched on our Marketplace this week. Looking for someone to help with a social media strategy? Want assistance in accessing finance? Starting to hire and in need of leadership and management training? Whatever the project, you can now post it on the Enterprise Nation Marketplace and have advisers pitch with how they can help. Get started here.
And finally, do you fancy being part of the Enterprise Nation team? We're looking a new head of marketing. Apply here.
