We're launching a series of events aimed at helping small businesses in Ireland to access early-stage seed funding and growth investment.
Beginning in September, the Show Me The Money sessions will take place in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Donegal over the next 12 months. Financial experts will share valuable advice on a range of funding solutions for Irish small businesses, from venture capital and angel investment to finance from alternative investment specialists and high-street banks.
Providing access to finance
The events are part of Access to Finance, Enterprise Nation's nationwide initiative in partnership with SBCI, Sage, BPFI, AIB, Bank of Ireland and TSB, which supports business owners with improving their skills in financial management.
We'll hold the first Show Me The Money event at Platform X KPMG in Dublin on Thursday 14 September. (View the agenda and book your free place.) Funders available at the events include the following:
In Enterprise Nation's quarterly survey, the Small Business Barometer, 83% of Irish businesses said they plan to access funding this year. Just under half (47%) intend to borrow €10,000 or less, with a further third (29%) aiming to borrow up to €30,000.
Emma Jones, Enterprise Nation's founder, says:
"What's the best kind of finance for your business and how do you go about accessing it? Our Show Me The Money events help busy founders work out exactly that by listening to experts from different areas of finance.
"There are a dazzling array of routes to investment – venture capital investors, angel investors, crowdfunding, banks and alternative lenders. We've got them all in one room so that small businesses can ask questions and learn the best route for them."
