Enterprise Nation has teamed up with IKEA to launch a new series of evening start-up workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs at the firm's iconic London stores.
Tailor-made for '5-9'ers building businesses in the evenings and at weekends, the fun and friendly two-hour classes presented by our own Emma Jones will take you through everything you need to know, including:
How to uncover your BIG Idea and research the market
5 points to include in a business plan
The must-do's - register the company and protect your brand
Straight forward finance and easy budgeting techniques
All things web - building a home online
Simple sales roadmap and cold-calling made easy
Make some noise! Successful marketing on a budget
5 essential social media tools and how to make the most of them
Team work - how to grow the business without outgrowing the home
The classes will take place between 5th February and 18th June at IKEA stores in Croydon, Lakeside, Tottenham and Wembley. Tickets cost just £20 and all attendees will walk away with a free copy of our brand-new StartUp Kit 2013, the essential guide to starting a small venture. If you're a holder of the new IKEA BUSINESS card, entry is completely free. _"_We are launching IKEA BUSINESS to meet the needs of an ever-expanding small business base," said IKEA's external communications manager Geraldine Stewart. "Many start-ups grow their businesses from home and we are on hand to provide the furnishings that enable you to turn any space, whether in the home or not, into a productive, inspiring work environment at an affordable price. A benefit to signing up to IKEA BUSINESS will be access to StartUp Workshops hosted in our London stores and we are delighted to be partnering with Enterprise Nation to deliver this." Enterprise Nation founder Emma Jones said: "We're really delighted to be working with such a well-known brand to support even more entrepreneurs as they turn their talent or hobby into a business. So many small businesses turn to IKEA to help them kit out their home office, so it's the perfect place to be holding workshops! I'm personally looking forward to meeting hundreds of new business-owners over the next few months and helping them start their small business journey in the right way."
