Google has released the top UK search terms related to Father's Day gifts and activities which could be useful for relevant small businesses looking to do some last minute marketing.

According to the search company, the "gifts" search category is currently experiencing the highest search interest since Mother's Day.

"Socks", "whiskey" and "cheese" are the top trending gift searches (up 90%, 60% and 50% respectively), with "sentimental" the top adjective searched with Father's Day gifts.

"Gifts for dad who wants nothing" is currently being searched at an all-time high, with searches for "men's clothing" at a 2025 high.

'Picture frame' is a breakout related search. Breakout searches are those with a search interest increase of more than 5,000%. In some cases it's because the queries are new and had few (if any) prior searches.

Google said that every Father's Day since 2015, "father's day gifts from daughter" has consistently been searched roughly twice as much as "father's day gifts from son".
