We’ve recently made some changes to the platform to make it even easier for small business owners to find the resources – and the people – they need. And with up to 50,000 searches taking place on the platform each month, there’s no better time for our adviser members to get their brand noticed and to start engaging with prospective customers.

Here are our top tips to help advisers stand out on the Enterprise Nation platform.

Promote your business services

Enterprise Nation is bursting with free resources for small businesses. But naturally, there'll be times when they need the support of an expert; someone who'll provide structured, bespoke business services. That’s where you come in.

Using improved search technology, members can browse and book business services via the Enterprise Nation marketplace. To ensure that you appear in their search results, it’s important that you list all of the services you offer. If you’re an accountant, for example, and you offer support with bookkeeping, payroll, VAT returns and forecasting, make sure you list each one as a separate service.

There’s no limit to how many services you can add; the more you add, the greater your visibility across the site. Take a moment to review the services you’ve listed so far to make sure that you’re properly showcasing all the areas in which you can provide support. Compare this to the services you boast on your own website. If you’ve not yet listed them all, add them now.

When adding services, be sure to include keywords and phrases that you think future clients might be looking for. Use a punchy title, include a short but clear description, and add a good-quality image, if you have one.

We often say that your profile is like your shop window – but actually, it’s much more than that. As well as viewing your business services, members can connect with you, book discovery calls, play back events that you’ve been part of, and read any content that you’ve uploaded.

Check out our top tips for creating a stand-out profile:

  • Upload a good quality profile image - People connect with people, so don’t be tempted to use a company logo. Wherever possible, use a hi-res image featuring only you.

  • Write a descriptive, but not too lengthy, bio - Small business owners are often time-poor, so keep this concise and focus on your experience, who you work with, and what you offer.

  • Add your business services - Yes, we’ve covered this already. But we really can’t stress enough how important this is. Small business owners won’t know how you can help them unless you tell them.

  • Tag all the categories and topics in which you can offer support - By doing so we guarantee that you’ll boost your visibility on the platform.
