Burren Smokehouse is a smoked salmon business set up in 1989 by Birgitta and Peter Curtin. After researching the fish smoking traditions in Ireland and Sweden, the idea for Burren Smokehouse, which is based in the Irish village of Lisdoonvarna, was born.
In an interview recorded during Enterprise Nation's Go Global trade mission to Dublin, Birgitta discusses the business story, how she got her products on the shelves of Harrods and tips for business success.
