Today Enterprise Nation is announcing the acquisition of disruptive marketing collaboration platform Brand Gathering.
The deal means we will welcome the members of the Brand Gathering community, extending the advice, support, resources and networking Enterprise Nation offers to our own 70,000 small business members.
Award-winning Brand Gathering was co-founded by entrepreneur, Christina Richardson in 2012 to help small businesses partner up with each other on their sales and marketing activities, whether it is doing pop-up shops together, running events together or simply promoting each other in a complementary way. The community has benefited from online tools and resources to help members set up collaborations, as well as tips and advice on how to make them a success.
Christina Richardson said: "Since launch, members of the community have collectively saved an outstanding Â£1m through collaborative marketing. That's a whole lot of new customers for those members, but many more could benefit with more businesses involved.
"It was this ethos that initiated discussions with Enterprise Nation, and as the Brand Gathering founding team moves onto our latest marketing-technology venture Openr, I am now confident that the Brand Gathering members have an outstanding new home in Enterprise Nation."
The transition for members will be simple and easy, and will entitle them to online masterclasses, access to free advice, e-books and the all important member forum where they will continue to be able to set up collaborations.
The announcement is part of a five year vision for the Enterprise Nation network, which will see us boost business membership beyond 100,000 and includes a programme of acquisitions, national and regional membership drives, as well as subsidised advice initiatives.
