We've teamed up with Croydon Council to deliver a summer bootcamp series and programme of support to help the borough’s young entrepreneurs bring their business ideas to fruition.
The free bootcamp series will be open to founders aged 18 to 35 who are hoping to start up, owners of businesses in their first 12 months of trading, and sole traders.
As well as teaching basic business skills, the bootcamps will help attendees learn how to find investment and make their businesses more resilient against future economic shocks.
There will be two seven-week bootcamps in July and August 2024, with a follow-up bootcamp on how to scale a start-up in October.
The sessions will cover everything from how to turn an idea into a profitable business to building sales during a recession and how to attract investment with a one-sentence pitch.
The bootcamps will be a mixture of online and in-person events, making it incredibly easy for business founders to get involved. The programme is funded by Croydon Council via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
Emma Jones CBE, founder of Enterprise Nation, said:
"We know a thriving small business community creates better jobs, more innovation and contribute more to their local community.
"Enterprise Nation lives and breathes start-up and small business support every day and we really admire the ambition of Croydon Council’s forward-thinking plans to boost the borough’s economy by supporting the next generation of young entrepreneurs.
