Access to Finance e-learning goes live

Posted: Thu 22nd Sep 2022

Enterprise Nation’s Access to Finance free e-learning programme is now live. The modules on the Enterprise Nation platform are designed to take small businesses and start-ups through the different financing stages of their business.

Enterprise Nation has partnered with SBCI, BPFI and Sage to show you which funding options are available in Ireland and help you gain access to them.

Financing journey

Johnny Harte, Enterprise Nation Ireland's corporate finance adviser, says:

"It takes you through the whole journey, from setting up to growing the business. Then, trying to decide if funding is for you and what some of your funding options might be.

"Getting funding for your small business or start-up in Ireland can be pretty tough. The rationale behind Access to Finance and the e-learning programme is trying to de-mystify the whole process.

"When you're starting off, there's so much you don't really know. Should you go for bank loans? Should you have angel investment? What do you need to be preparing? Is it the right time?

"The programme breaks down all the questions that an early-stage founder might have. It presents content for small businesses to help them figure this stuff out, which sometimes isn't easy to do."
