From craft to career

Every year, as part of the Norfolk Makers' Festival, we work with The Forum Trust to present From Craft to Career.

Together, we ask a panel of artists and creative traders to take part in an open discussion about how to build successful enterprises out of the crafts they love.

Our panellists provide information on how they set up their businesses and what they have learned along the way. What successes have they had and what did they wish they’d known when they first started.

The evening talk is held in The Forum's Auditorium and online, and is compered by The Forum Trust’s Jayne Evans, the producer of Norfolk Makers' Festival. Guests in the audience are encouraged to ask questions.

Note: This event is being held on Wednesday 15 March and not on a Thursday, as in previous years.

If you are unable to attend the event in person, it will also be shown live online. Just register for an online-only ticket when booking and you will be sent a link to join prior to the event.

From Craft to Career is a partnership between The Forum Trust – the educational charity that runs The Forum and organises free events such as Norfolk Makers Festival, Norwich Science Festival and Heritage Open Days – and Norfolk County Council's Business & IP Centre.
