Along with my wife, Sarah, I founded The Good Mental Health Company. Together, we ensure that individuals and businesses across the UK have access to high quality First Aid for Mental Health distance training and support. As an experienced trainer and trainee psychotherapist I have worked as a Practice Manager at a London-based therapy clinic for four years. I have a specialist interest in men’s mental health and suicide prevention. I am 6ft 8” and I did work as a Nightclub Doorman and personal security guard for over a decade. That experience taught me how to deal with people at times of acute crisis and how to support people suffering from the effects of alcohol and substance misuse. It solidified my interest in helping people with metal health issues which, eventually led to training others to support their colleagues.

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience working in general accountancy practice. After a successful career with two small practices, I have decided to start up my own practice to be able to provide a value added service I feel is often missed in a traditional accountancy practice.
From the start of my training I have always enjoyed making the books balance and following on from training I have enjoyed interpreting those books for my clients. I enjoy working with small and medium sized businesses as it allows me to be involved with the whole finance function in a business and able to assist the owners in their financial decision making. I am fluent in the preparation and submission of accounts and tax returns and I have also helped several companies to set up and maintain their bookkeeping systems. In addition to these tasks expected of a general accountancy practice I enjoy going above and beyond and acting as a finance business partner for your business including the preparation and interpretation of management accounts and cashflow statements.
Outside of work I am a mum to one child and one dog, I love the outdoors and my hobbies include reading and sewing.
