With a career spanning 23 years (first job at 15 in an advertising agency) across media, advertising, creative industries, publishing and smart city applications I focus on supporting ambitious businesses to scale, with a focus on revenue generation, business development, strategy and growth. Experience in running a Scottish high growth pipeline company, raising investment and working with public, private and third sector organisations is coupled with an openness to continual learning, a passion to find out what drives people and a keen interest in future technologies. Networking, building connections and long-lasting relationships are core to the delivery of any projects and are topics that I have spoken about at both Lancaster University and the University of Edinburgh. With a keen interest in the start-up scene and specifically around women in business I have appeared on panels at the Festival of Female Entrepreneurs and for She Means Business, a Facebook backed initiative to drive more engagement with women in business. 2020 is taking me in new directions, harnessing my skills in building and growing businesses with the aim to share this knowledge to improve the success rate for SMEs and individuals that I work with - through my online revenue generation course, 1.1. workshops and mentoring. Sales are at the heart of any business, but are often not prioritised or well understood. I like to ensure that a successful sales process and culture are embedded in an organisation to drive results and sustainable growth. As an RSA fellow and with a commitment to volunteering I have supported UN Women, Social Bite and Women’s Enterprise Scotland among other organisations in my free time. I have also been a mentor on Tech Accelerator Programme Ignite, for students at Lancaster University and a judge on the innovation competition Scottish EDGE. I have a huge passion for travel and a love of other cultures, having lived and worked in the USA, Spain and Italy.
