Small businesses face new challenges every year, from rising costs and changing regulations to the need to invest in better systems, technology and equipment.
That's why, as part of our Powering Local Businesses campaign, we're offering 25 Business Resilience Grants worth £1,000 each.
The grants are designed to help small businesses invest in practical improvements that strengthen their operations, increase efficiency and help them prepare for future growth.
Whether you're looking to upgrade software, improve your website, purchase equipment or access specialist advice, this funding could provide a valuable boost.
The grant is open to UK small businesses (excluding Northern Ireland) that:
Have been trading for at least 12 months
Employ 50 people or fewer
Have a UK business bank account
Have either a Companies House registration number or a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)
Are not currently undergoing insolvency proceedings
Both limited companies and sole traders are eligible to apply.
The funding can be used for a wide range of practical business improvements, including:
New software or digital tools
Website upgrades
Payment system improvements
Equipment purchases, such as laptops
Professional consultancy or specialist advice
Sustainability improvements, such as more efficient lighting
The grant is intended for one-off investments that create a lasting tangible benefit for the business, rather than ongoing costs such as advertising budgets, subscriptions or day-to-day operating expenses.
Applications are assessed on:
The strength and clarity of the proposed investment
How the funding will improve business efficiency
How it will help the business adapt to future challenges
The potential long-term impact on resilience and growth
Applications close on 29 November 2026.
Successful applicants are expected to be selected by 11 December 2026 and will be notified by 14 December 2026.
