Build a stronger business with a £1,000 grant
Enterprise Nation and EDF Small Business, supported by Square, are giving out £25,000 in funding to help 25 small businesses invest in practical improvements.
Each successful applicant will receive a £1,000 grant to support the next stage of their businesses.
Whether you're buying software, adopting better payment systems, investing in sustainable upgrades or upgrading equipment, or are hiring a consultant, this is your chance to make useful changes that help your business run more smoothly and prepare for what's ahead.
Who is the support for?
Twenty-five small businesses will each receive £1,000 to invest in measures that make them stronger for the future.
This could include:
buying or updating software
adopting new payment systems
making sustainability improvements (replacing lighting, for example)
upgrading your website
hiring a business consultant or expert
upgrading equipment (such as laptops), or
any other practical investment that helps strengthen your business

Am I eligible?
About your business
You must:
be a UK-based small business with fewer than 50 employees
have been trading for at least 12 months
have a UK business bank account
have a Companies House registration number or be registered as self-employed with proof of UTR
To be eligible, your business must not:
be undergoing insolvency, examinership, receivership or any related process
About you
You must:
be the owner of the business (or have the owner's approval to apply)
not be an employee of EDF, Enterprise Nation, NatWest or Square and have no immediate family or household members who are
If you're successful, you must:
be able to clearly outline how you'll use the cash grant to make your business more resilient
be willing to share your story if requested
