<p>I help business leaders and owners move from overwhelm to confidence. My approach blends strategic know-how with empathy, guiding people to lead their businesses effectively while enjoying a healthier work–life balance. For me, leadership is not just about driving results. It is about making decisions with clarity, building strong teams, and creating the space for yourself - and your people - to thrive.</p>

<h3>A career built on leadership, growth and real-world experience</h3>
<p>I started my career in banking, learning first-hand how financial strategy underpins every successful organisation. From there, I spent nearly 15 years running my own online bakery, The Cake Nest, taking it from a kitchen-table start-up to a thriving, award winning business with a dedicated team and national reach.</p>
<p>It was during this time that I discovered the value of stepping back to see the bigger picture. I learned how to develop systems, build trust in a team and stop carrying the entire business on my own shoulders. That experience taught me the leadership skills that no textbook can give - the kind you only gain by navigating the pressures and unpredictability of entrepreneurship.</p>
<p>After selling my bakery, I moved into business support and mentoring, working with hundreds of SMEs across sectors. At East Midlands Chamber, I supported high-growth businesses, helping them develop strategy, streamline operations, improve financial management and, importantly, grow with confidence. I also worked on regional projects that connected businesses with funding, innovation opportunities and market insights.</p>
<p>My leadership expertise is backed by a Level 7 ILM qualification in Leadership and Management, as well as my training as a Mental Health First Aider. I am also completing mBIT (Multiple Brain Integration Techniques) training to help leaders align head, heart and gut for better decision-making.</p>

<p>Burnout among leaders is on the rise, and I see it far too often in the business owners I work with. They are talented, capable and dedicated, but they are running on empty. That is why I focus on creating space, clarity and resilience.</p>
<p>Leadership is not about being available 24/7. It is about knowing when to step forward, when to delegate, and when to step back entirely to recharge. A rested, confident leader makes better decisions, builds stronger teams, and drives long-term success.</p>
