Having gained managerial experience at Amazon (for 5 years as a top-tier employee), I have immersed myself in really detailed strategic planning. Later, I have used it to turn around and save from bankruptcy an SME in healthcare distribution (£10MM revenue, 80 employees).


What's so different about detailed strategic planning?



  1. It analyses the context and trends in your market.

  2. It identifies growth opportunities and cost savings potential that are realistic in the near-term (1-year), and long-term (3 years).

  3. It then calculates the ROI on the initiatives and assesses them based on financial impact, strategic importance for the company and feasibility.

  4. It sets the milestones for the strategy with metrics showing success or a need for re-consideration.

  5. It includes scenario planning and risk assessment for both external events and internal triggers with a few proposed paths for reaction.

  6. It encompasses the entire organisation from organisational culture to bottom line profitability.

  7. It provides the founder, operator, CEO, a detailed action plan for the next 1-3 years to differentiate themselves in the market.

I am a commercial leader with 8+ years of experience across Healthcare and Consumer industries.    After completing a "PhD in Business" at Amazon (5 years across Retail and Sales, ending my stint as a top tier Sales Manager), I have taken on a challenge to turn around my family business in Poland (£10MM annual revenue, medical device distribution business). In 2 years, I managed to boost profitability from -1.2% to 2.7% (projected & on track in 2025) through restructuring and process optimisation. Despite the headcount reduction and turn over, managed to grow revenue by 18% (2024 vs 2023) through business development activities (e-commerce, partnerships).    In order to help greater range of SMBs, Startups, family businesses but also PE PortCos, I have founded Demkovitz Consulting to make an impact on UK companies and economy. I also act as Board Advisor, NED and Angel Investor in early-stage startups and SMBs.
