Dr Rahman is a Director of TeeGene Biotech Limited and Tara Biologics limited with 20 years research experience on novel biotechnological approaches in bioproduct development. He is a recipient of Teesside University - Enterprise Project of the Year award and SAB Award of Excellence in Microbial Biotechnology. He is a Fellow of Royal Society of&lt;br /&gt;
Arts and he is serving as Associate Editor of Frontiers in Microbiology and Frontiers in Environmental Science.&lt;br /&gt;
He has led more than 20 research and enterprise grants and the most recent one is co-Investigator of ‘Enzyme Engineering for plastics’ funded by UK Research and Innovation grant (£5.7 million). Dr Rahman was selected to represent UK Government and Biotech business delegation to China, France, India, Singapore, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Thailand and New Zealand. He is serving as a Visiting Professor at SOA University, Bhubaneswar, India.&lt;br /&gt;
Dr Rahman has completed BSc (Zoology) at PSG Arts Coimbatore, MSc &amp;amp;amp; PhD Environmental Science at Bharathiar University and Biologics and Biomanufacturing course at University of Cambridge. He worked as a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Ulster, research scientist at Brookhaven National Laboratory, New York, USA and various European Regional Development Funded projects. His research is published in over 100 journals and conference proceedings with a h-index of 27 and 4000 citations.
