I'm Wendy, the visionary behind SkilzMansion Management, a purpose-driven business giving founders access to entrepreneurial expertise, and support in an environment where ideas are realised and transformed into impactful concepts.&nbsp;
In a world where 95% of businesses fail and countless ideas go unrealised, I'm on a mission to change this narrative. My goal? &quot;To empower founders to transform ideas and businesses from the ground up on solid foundations, turning them into businesses that endure, putting an end to failure and have no more wasted ideas in the world. So what's my story...?
My start in entrepreneurship came about as a leap of faith, I went into the unknown after being made redundant. The world had just gone into lockdown, I had no job or hope of getting one. I was at ground zero. I had nothing to lose at this point. But I knew I had a strong business acumen that was yet to be explored plus my operational and management background that would see me through the journey. So I boldly stepped out into the world of entrepreneurship, however, what was before me I could have never predicted. I had no support, I found that lacked practical experience in the startup world. My entrepreneurial journey was characterised by the pain of making costly mistakes, a constant fear of failure, and loneliness. Until I started working in a startup studio with a team of super-smart founders, techies, creatives, and investors. I learned how to build businesses the right way with the right support. I have now taken the learnings of building ventures and adapted them to help people who have ideas they want to turn into businesses, and people already in business and want to build and scale the right way. I use venture-building methodologies that I have adapted to build and turn any type of concept into a scaleable business with a lasting legacy.&nbsp;
The reason why I do this is because I believe that ideas should not be wasted and the founder's journey is paramount to building well and building successful businesses that last. I want to help founders &quot;build-right first-time&quot; with support and stop accepting loneliness, stress and burnout as a norm. Using proven frameworks and my startup experience, I help founders avoid the common pitfalls that lead to failure. I understand that building businesses is daunting and one of the most challenging careers to have, but I know it does not have to be a painful experience or a lonely journey. Bringing your idea to life and growing a business should be a fulfilling journey, it should be an exhilarating experience of learning, building relationships and collaborating, stretching your abilities, and developing your resilience.
This is why I started Skilzmansion Management. I provide a strong support system to help improve the founders' journey so that they succeed. There will be no more fear of failure, and no more wasted potential – instead, founders will have the courage and motivation to act on their ideas, build with resilience, and develop businesses that last generations.
