The EU Sustainability Due Diligence Directive is about to be passed in 2024. The purpose of the Directive is to improve the regulatory framework on human rights and sustainability due diligence, which will aid in the EU's transition to a climate-neutral and green economy. This will have consequences for the entire Value Chain.

Learn about how GS1 standards can help you establish Visibility on your Value Chain, and how that Transparency can be used to power your sustainability decisions, and make and manage Supply Chain Sustainability Due Diligence declarations for your organisation.

My expertise lies in helping people in business to translate their own business needs, and the business needs of their customers, consumers and other stakeholders, into the Global Language of Business, so that you can spend more time doing business, rather than working out what the data means. It's about being able to create a system where you can provide data requirement for business information to stakeholders, and provide business information to your trading partners in a way that makes it available and accessible to them, when you want them to have it.   In today's world, sustainability has become a key to unlocking business and finance options. It has almost become a licence to trade, and it all starts with traditional identification and barcoding for the complete value chain (sourcing raw materials to Point of Sale), in any industry sector. Being able to demonstrate Traceability & Transparency (Visibility) on your value chain is futureproofing for expected EU directives on Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CRSD). Because even if you're not meeting the threshold to be obliged to report directly, your trade partners who are may require it of you on their behalf. When you can verify the materials you use and where they have come from, then you can stand over the sustainability of your product and play your part in protecting people, the environment and the wider value chain.   I have experience in data cleansing and systems implementation and my USP is that I can provide authoritative guidance in the application of the GS1 System of Standards to get your organisation speaking the global language of business. GS1 Digital Link can bring you DIRECT ACCESS to your consumers, especially if you're selling through 3rd parties that are not your end consumer.   Book an initial consultation meeting with me
