Mark is an trusted commercial board level executive with 19 years enterprise and 13 years B2B SME experience, currently working with a range of companies from a £1bn+ Logistics company to a mid-size Oil &amp; Gas company with £500m in assets to SMEs ranging in size from £1m to £30m.
With knowledge across numerous commercial sectors including Financial Services, Energy, Data/Telco and Sport, and entrepreneurial type environments, like the London 2012 Olympic &amp; Paralympic bid team and three self-owned small businesses, Mark has both domestic and international expertise in B2B revenue growth, lead generation and strategy development. Communications, networking, maintaining outstanding relationships and client retention are key to Mark’s success.
Today Mark specialises in management consultancy, strategy development, sales, mentoring and executive coaching and helping companies understand where their people like to devote their energies and make an impact using The GC Index®. He also trains all newly accredited GCologists how to effectively engage and sell to their prospects and clients.
He works with CEOs, executives and senior leaders to grow both their businesses and professional brands. After spending two decades working in large multi-corporates (NatWest, EDF and Colt), Mark now works with SME leaders with a focus on strategy, sales and people development. As a Consultant, Mark now mentors and coaches winning teams and helps business leaders ensure they have the right teams in place, with complementary energies and impact.
Key career achievements include:
· Leading the team which rebranded London Electricity Group to EDF Energy (2002);
· Being a key member of the winning London 2012 Olympic &amp; Paralympic team (2003-05) securing £6m in funding;
· Relaunching Colt’s brand winning the 2006 World Communications Award for Best Brand;
· Generating sales in excess of £20 million for his clients in the last ten years;
· Conducting over 450 profile reviews for The GC Index® with senior executives;
· Delivering 42 mentor programmes to SME Business leaders on the Government’s Help To Grow Management Programme...more than any other mentor across the UK!
Mark has a Diploma in Executive Coaching from The Association of Executive Coaches (AoEC) and is a full member of The International Coaching Federation (ICF), The Association of Business Mentors (ABM) and The Institute of Directors (IoD). Mark is also one of the very few global Accredited Master GCologists with The GC Index®.
Mark holds a BA in Economics &amp; Social History from the University of Exeter.
