Retirement planning can be one of the biggest issues faced by owner-managed businesses, and failure to plan properly is one of the most common reasons that small and medium-sized businesses close.

Advance planning is essential in order to succeed, and the earlier that you plan, the better. Two to three years may be needed to ensure that appropriate tax reliefs can be maximised and that all the documentation and processes which will enable the best solution to be achieved are in place.

We advise clients in planning the most appropriate and tax-efficient succession route. Whether it is a trade sale, management buy-out, next generation of family, or it is to be wound up and the assets distributed, our team can help.
