Bespoke Leadership Development

I am a huge people person, who spent the last 20 years of her career working in HR and Leadership Development for large corporate companies. I learnt a lot about how people tick, how to get the best out of people, and how to really turn people off! I had some amazing experiences where I was trusted, empowered and delivered a fantastic job and felt awesome! I’ve also experienced the opposite. I’ve been micro-managed, told I wasn’t good enough or “fitted in” and generally delivered some pretty poor pieces of work. But all of this experience has taught me a lot about myself, how others can get the best out of me and how I can manage myself, so I can perform at my best. That’s how I’ve ended up here. I started my own business as I was disillusioned by the way many companies approach leadership development and talent management. Find a model and make people fit into that model, and if they don’t – then clearly, they are not “high potential”. I look at things differently. I like to find new and innovative ways of doing things. I like to challenge the status quo and ask “why” a lot! Increasingly we need creative, innovative and engaged people to deliver great service to our customers. The best way to achieve this is to treat employees as human beings. Allow them to demonstrate their potential, and then grow them to release their potential and be at their best. This will bring business success better than any corporate leadership framework! I’m also a Mum to a wonderful daughter and two bonkers cats. Love going to the gym and generally finding new ways to burn energy because for some reason my life hasn’t yet exhausted me!
