Startup First Steps programme

Startup First Steps programme

Startup First Steps is a practical course, designed for current or prospective tech start-up founders in Scotland. It is for those in the early stages of their entrepreneurial journey, with the goal of getting a first version of their product on the market and acquiring users/customers.

The Winter 2024 cohort begins 11 January and runs until 28 March.

Startup First Steps sessions are highly collaborative, balancing lectures from industry experts, founders at different stages of the start-up journey, as well as practical activities and group discussions to apply session teachings.

Who is this course for?

Startup First Steps is designed for individuals committed to dedicating time and energy to exploring the viability of a tech start-up.
  • Start-up founders who have launched an early product and are starting to onboard customers and grow
  • Pre-revenue founders looking to commercialise a product
  • Start-up founders seeking pre-seed or seed investment
  • A second (or more)-time founder or start-up operator at any of the above stages who wants to progress quicker this time round, with support
This list is not exhaustive. If you are a Scotland-based founder with an idea in a specific sector/market/customer/problem area and believe you would benefit from taking part in Startup First Steps, we encourage you to apply.
