Start-up business support

If you're a start-up or still exploring your options, you're invited to attend a series of five courses, which cover the essentials of business: creating value, marketing plans, customer relationships, cash flow and finance and business plans. Each lasts for two hours and is delivered online, so you can join from anywhere.

After you've completed the initial course, you can join some optional workshops that look in more detail at branding, sales, pricing and raising finance. Then, once you've completed the live programme, there's also a whole bunch of support that you can look at in your own time – including videos, podcasts, quizzes, checklists and templates.

General business support

This part of the programme helps entrepreneurs take their business to the next level. It's a proven way to develop products, nurture customers, grow revenue and recruit staff. You're welcome to join the programme at this point or graduate from the earlier stages.

We realise that every business is different so we offer a series of courses that look at a huge variety of subjects. Each lasts for three hours and takes place online so you can take part wherever you are.

One-on-one consultancy is also available at no cost to you.

The programme initially runs until the end of March 2025 and there is limited availability so we recommend that you sign up now.

The programme is generously supported by Plymouth City Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund so it is available at no cost to anyone who works, studies, or lives in the city. It is delivered by Digital Remit.
