BSEEN: Business start-up support

BSEEN at Birmingham City University (BCU) is a 12-month business start up service for student and graduate entrepreneurs. It will help you to develop the knowledge, skills and networks you need when starting your own business.

What's more, as it's funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), being a member of the BSEEN business start-up programme is absolutely free to eligible applicants.

When you join BSEEN, you can:

  • receive one-to-one mentoring from business experts and specialists
  • gain access to workspaces and business facilities across the BCU campus
  • attend workshops and networking events
  • access grant and funding opportunities for starting a business
  • gain access to STEAMincubator facilities and support

Eligibility requirements

  • You must have graduated within the last five years or currently be a student.
  • You've been dreaming of starting your own business since you began your studies.
  • You have the perfect idea for a business start-up.
