BIPC Norfolk: Business Start-Up Grant

BIPC Norfolk: Business Start-Up Grant

In collaboration with MENTA Business, BIPC Norfolk has launched a new Business Start-Up Grant to help aspiring Norfolk business owners get their businesses up and running successfully.

Norfolk-based start-ups and recently established small and micro businesses (those trading for less than 24 months and with a projected first-year turnover of under £250,000) can apply for grants of between £300 and £1,500 to help with buying equipment, stock, marketing or professional services that will kick-start establishing the business.

Businesses can use grants to fund projects or activities costing in the range of £400 to £2,500, provided they invest themselves at the following levels:

  • 25% (for projects of £400 to £500)
  • 30% (for projects of £501 to £1,000)
  • 40% (for projects of £1,001 to £2,500)

The application process is simple and involves a pre-application eligibility check, completing an application form, and being evaluated by a panel.

Grant awards will be judged by the panel for merit and positive impact, with financial administration handled independently by Eastern Savings & Loans (with grant monies provided retrospectively against receipts submitted).

Making an application does not guarantee that you'll receive a grant, and the panel will review all applications on a first-come first-reviewed basis. We are anticipating a high level of interest in the scheme, so if you're interested in applying, don't delay!
