Hi, I’m Ben. I am passionate about training people so they can help others move others beyond mental distress and towards recovery. What does this mean? Along with my wife, Sarah, I founded The Good Mental Health Company. Together, we ensure that individuals and businesses across the UK have access to high quality First Aid for Mental Health distance training and support. As an experienced trainer and trainee psychotherapist I have worked as a Practice Manager at a London-based therapy clinic for four years. I have a specialist interest in men’s mental health and suicide prevention. I am 6ft 8” and I did work as a Nightclub Doorman and personal security guard for over a decade. That experience taught me how to deal with people at times of acute crisis and how to support people suffering from the effects of alcohol and substance misuse. It solidified my interest in helping people with metal health issues which, eventually led to training others to support their colleagues.
