Jenny Conway helps women create their futures from a place of calm rather than fear through luxury wellness retreats and mindset coaching that combines nervous system regulation with strategic planning.
Evamoso Wellness Retreats is itself a complete pivot for Jenny. She had to close her sustainable activewear brand in 2022 when the business faced mounting challenges after Brexit.
She says:
"I launched my fashion brand after doing an accelerator programme through the King's Trust and spent years building the business. We did really well with a pop-up in John Lewis.
"But it got to the point where I either had to go for investment or just pack it in. I spent so long growing the business, it felt wrong to just walk away."
Health scare
However, things were taken out of Jenny's hands. It was during this challenging period in business that she received a cervical cancer diagnosis after a routine smear test when her daughter was six months old.
She had no choice but to down tools and focus on treatment and recovery.
Jenny explains:
"It all went very quickly. At first, they thought it was just going to be a case of removing some of the cervix, but then they found some in my lymph node. And so I had to get chemo and radiotherapy."
As a new mother facing cancer treatment, Jenny found herself needing to take control of her future.
"It gave me a glimpse under the veil, and I realised life is actually quite short. What am I doing with my hours? I have my little baby now. I've got my health. What's next?"
Pursuing a passion
The experience fundamentally shifted Jenny's definition of success.
Instead of chasing turnover targets and investment rounds, she realised she wanted financial freedom alongside the flexibility to raise her daughter. She also wished to pursue what truly brought her happiness.
She says:
"There was a before and an after. For me, success was being able to look at my career and say, 'OK, I want to be financially independent'.
"I want to show my daughter what it's like to be proud and love working, but I also want the flexibility to be able to raise her and get the things that are going to make us feel joyful."
So, Jenny put the fashion business on hold and started working with a coach to explore her next steps.
"I identified three things I was missing: connections with other women, travel and the opportunity to share my mindset and health insights.
"My coach suggested hosting retreats – and I got that real excitement in my belly!"
Within three months, Jenny had organised her first wellness retreat, working with a mentor to accelerate what should have been a year's worth of learning.
Her business now offers curated experiences for 10 to 15 women in destinations like Menorca and the Cotswolds, combining movement, one-on-one mindset coaching and luxurious settings.
She also runs quarterly workshops as the Reset Club, where participants practise visualisation and regulating their nervous system – all to set intentions from their highest selves rather than from logical, fear-based thinking.
Jenny's method
Jenny's approach focuses on four key steps to help women gain clarity on their goals. She says:
"I want you to feel lit up now before illness strikes, before burnout strikes. Having my health scare taught me that we're wonderful.
"My inner self-dialogue is so much better now. When that little gremlin comes in, I'm like, 'OK, I see you, but back down'."
Here, Jenny explains each of the four steps:
1. Regulate your nervous system
"Don't create from your logical mind. Most of us are operating from fight or flight mode.
"Get your breath under control and calm everything down to get into that theta brainwave rather than creating from fear."
2. Notice your inner dialogue
"We have around 60,000 thoughts a day and 90% are the same as yesterday. You're creating exactly the same reality.
"Become aware of what's running behind the lines. Are you telling yourself you're not smart enough or capable enough?"
3. Rewrite limiting beliefs
"Ask yourself, 'Is this actually based in evidence, or is it old conditioning?' Then sit down and write the beliefs you want to adopt. 'I am confident.' 'I am capable.' Then practise those."
4. Take aligned action
"Once you've regulated your nervous system and looked at your beliefs, ask yourself, 'What would I create in one year's time if fear wasn't in the equation?' That's when you get giddy with excitement."
Challenges as catalysts
Jenny's transformation from corporate activewear entrepreneur to wellness coach demonstrates how life's most challenging moments can become catalysts for discovering your true purpose.
