Wall of Cyber is an IT solutions and consultancy firm dedicated to providing ethical, affordable and professional services.
Founded by Nile Cook, the company specialises in addressing the unique needs of local care homes and schools – organisations that don't have large IT budgets to work with.
Nile's business delivers reliable and cost-effective solutions, while committing to helping clients protect their digital data and stay cyber-secure.
Lacking experience in some areas of business, Nile was particularly looking for support with networking and meeting people who could help him with important aspects such as marketing strategy and managing his finances.
Grow London Local Business Support Manager Edwina Hughes introduced Nile to networking groups and business advisers who would be able to provide the guidance and direction he was after.

My name is Nile Cook and I'm the director of Wall of Cyber Limited. We provide IT solutions for schools and care homes, and the idea is we do it in the most ethical and reliable fashion.
I think one of the biggest challenges is probably managing finance. Making sure that I know what I'm doing as a new business, especially after recently registering as a limited business.
Initially, I found out about Grow London Local by doing a quick search for "business development" and "business support" as well. It popped up and then I reached out.
The largest point of support for me has been the networking – being able to meet the right people.
Second to that, putting me in contact with people who can help me develop my business on a side of things that I have absolutely no idea about, that I can develop my marketing strategies with.
Having someone point me in that direction and then those people helping me out as part of the programme was great. It was amazing.
The first thing I would say is have the confidence to reach out and don't try to do everything yourself. When I stepped back, reached out for the help and then received the support I needed, I then realised how I was doing things wrong.
