From one big city to another – originally from Brooklyn in New York City, Ibrahim Zanta of Mabrouklyn is passionate about sharing his love of fashion, community and creative arts with people across London.
"Every single piece of clothing has a story behind it," Ibrahim says. He works with incredible artists to create intricate and unique design on the clothing he sells.
It's not just the products that @mabrouklynuk is proud of. Whether it's transporting by bicycle where they can, or their commitment to working with local communities, this small business is dedicated to making positive changes both in and outside of London.

Hi, my name is Ibrahim. I'm the director and founder of Mabrouklyn.
Mabrouklyn is a fashion company, creative studio and community hub. At the heart of it, we sell clothing, but it's more than that to us. Every single piece of clothing has a story behind it.
Like any other business starting now, there are a lot of challenges. One of the big challenges that we're hoping to engage with GLL [Grow London Local] about is [that] we want to be able to offer some of our in-house product to local organisations. We want to get it in front of people.
It's much easier to grow organically face to face with the customer as opposed to online engagement. Grow London Local just throws you in with the service needed. It's not just a three-month or six-month programme, it seems to be ongoing.
I look forward to the next thing that I didn't know about that Grow London Local is going to suggest.
