Enterprise Nation and NatWest have announced a new partnership designed to make it easier for small businesses to find practical support, advice, workspace and funding opportunities.
The partnership brings together Enterprise Nation's community of 170,000 business owners with the NatWest Accelerator network, giving more founders access to support as they start and grow their businesses.
Enterprise Nation plans to grow its community to 250,000 members, with the partnership expected to help reach around 80,000 additional businesses.
Through the partnership, entrepreneurs will be able to connect with a wider range of support through Enterprise Nation and NatWest Accelerator.
NatWest Accelerator has 12 physical hubs across the UK, providing co-working space alongside networking events and tailored business support.
Its wider offer includes mentoring, guidance on funding and access to a digital app.
The partnership will also expand access to NatWest Accelerator's regional network, its Local Leaders network and funding opportunities available through the Accelerator app.
For founders who already spend significant time searching for advice, filling in applications or trying to work out where to go for support, bringing more of those services together could make a practical difference.
Enterprise Nation and NatWest estimate that the partnership could save entrepreneurs around one million hours a year.
That calculation assumes the 80,000 additional businesses reached each save around one hour a month through quicker access to funding and support, fewer duplicated applications and easier access to tools, workspace, mentoring and networking.
Based on an indicative value of £31.25 an hour, that would represent around £30 million in annual productivity gains.
The partnership also aims to make business support more accessible to entrepreneurs who can find it harder to engage with traditional forms of support.
By combining Enterprise Nation's digital community and resources with NatWest's physical hubs and local networks, the two organisations intend to provide more routes into advice, mentoring and other forms of help.
