Coronavirus: A checklist for how retailers can reopen safely

Posted: Tue 26th May 2020
The Scottish government has published a checklist for how retailers can reopen safely as coronavirus lockdown measures are eased.
Although no set date has yet been given for when shops can start to open in Scotland, the new checklist for actions small, medium and large retailers can take to create safe environments is based on the UK government's guide for retailers in England.
For England, prime minister Boris Johnson has announced that outdoor markets and car showrooms can reopen from 1 June if they follow the safety guidelines with other retailers able to welcome customers back in store on 15 June.
The Scottish government's checklist is below and you can also download it here. Detailed guidance for retailers and manufacturers in Scotland has also been released.
