Let me introduce myself, my name is Karen Tait and I’m the Founder of The Residence Coworking space 😊&nbsp;
Here at The Residence we are much, much more than just a workspace! We are a vibrant community hub for creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals alike, and we are located in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. We offer a vibrant environment designed to foster collaboration, innovation, and growth. From desks, to modern meeting rooms, to high-speed internet to ergonomic furniture, we've got everything you need here to thrive. It's a given that you could connect and mingle with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas and build valuable relationships by just being a member of the space. The Residence exists to offer a creative and exciting workspace in a semi-rural location. Our space has a focus on three core things, people, surroundings and support ❤️ Personally, I accidentally became a coworking operator after leaving a successful corporate career in investment banking and starting my own business some 8 years ago, and the ONE thing I never factored was losing my physical place of work and my colleagues. I was lonely, distracted, isolated, bored, and always hungry BUT also not sitting in front of my ideal customers, not getting to know my local community, not being visible and making business connections, so I fixed it and created myself a space to work, which is now not only my FT career but passion 💕 Professional workspace, whilst highly valuable, isn’t my driving force, its connection and community. Somebody could always out spend me, but no one can replicate my *secret sauce* and that’s my wealth of local business connections, someone with an ear to the ground on collaboration opportunities and someone who passionately wants our members to be successful, because when you are so am I, I’m merely the facilitator!
