Jessica Pilkington has extensive experience navigating the ever-changing charity landscape, advising leaders and organisations on how to communicate their impact and grow their reach. A trained journalist with more than 20 years of regional and national media experience, she has also worked in fundraising, philanthropy, and charity marketing, giving her a deep understanding of the sector from multiple perspectives.
Jessica is a dedicated advocate for the not-for-profit sector. She is a charity trustee, leads her family’s charitable fund, and was recognised as an MPHERo in 2024 for her contributions to the charity sector and her support for women in business. In 2023, she was named Business Person of the Year (Northamptonshire), and her company, Pilkington Communications, is a multi-award-winning agency with a mission to provide bold, creative, and effective communications strategies for UK charities, social enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations.
Jessica has written and spoken widely on charity communications, delivered training and mentoring, and developed strategic messaging to help organisations stand out. Today the 'day job' is heading up the UK chapter of The Spill Teem®, a global
Design Consultancy who work with organizations worldwide to help shift their thinking culture.

The Spill Teem® have an extensive background in service, product, communication and behavioural design and collectively carry 30+ years of human-centred Design experience, business strategy, and cultural change work.

My work also regularly involves delivering keynotes at events, speaking to teams, at leadership groups, masterminds and retreats. I also deliver lectures, seminars and provide training when required on the topic of brand, strategy, storytelling and human-centred design.
