Recent research from the Work Foundation found that nearly one in five workers in Greater London are in severely insecure work.

Hosted with The Living Wage Foundation and the Mayor's Good Work Standard, this webinar will introduce ‘Living Hours’, a scheme for employers to help address insecure work. The panel includes Chris Smallwood, managing director, Anchor Removals and Rachel Williamson, director of economic fairness, GLA, who will share the steps they took towards becoming an accredited Living Hours employer.

This event will be held via Microsoft Teams. Please access the link via the online event page.

Living Hours – The Living Wage Foundation

Providing security of hours alongside a real Living Wage. The campaign has ensured hundreds of thousands of workers are earning a real living wage, not just the government minimum. But millions of low-paid workers are also struggling to get the hours they need to make ends meet. That’s why the Living Wage Foundation has developed a new standard of what good looks like for those employers that can offer ‘Living Hours’ alongside a real Living Wage.

The Mayor's Good Work Standard

The Good Work Standard is a free accreditation programme that provides employers with a set of best employment practices alongside information and resources to help achieve them. The initiative has been developed in collaboration with London's employers, trade unions, professional bodies and experts and sets the benchmark the Mayor wants every London employer to work towards and achieve.

Organisations able to meet the Good Work Standard criteria can apply for accreditation and recognition as leading employers from the Mayor.
