Supplier Readiness Programme

Westminster City Council, in partnership with Westminster Business Council, is delivering the Supplier Readiness Programme to support Westminster-based small and micro-businesses in securing public and private sector contracts.

Programme offerings

• Expert-led workshops and tailored guidance on procurement.
• Hybrid training sessions to enhance business capabilities.
• Mentoring and shadowing with established firms.
• Sector-specific "meet the buyer" events and networking.
• Inclusion in a supplier directory for contract referrals.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the programme, your organisation must be at least one of the following:

• A Westminster-based small, medium or micro (including sole trader) business (for example, with less than 250 staff).
• A London-based diverse business (for example, 51% or more owned and led):
  • Global majority-led.
  • Woman-led.
  • Disabled-led.
  • LGBTQIA+-led.
• A London-based mission-led business:
  • Social Enterprise.
  • Community Interest Company (CIC).
  • Green/circular SME (for example, specifically supplying green products, services or solutions).
  • Cooperatives.
  • Mutuals or employee-owned businesses.
