Alison has over 30 years of experience working with spreadsheets. She honed her Excel skills during her corporate days doing project management.

Now she loves using her knowledge and experience to help other spreadsheet users get insights and information from data.

Alison is a big fan of showing people how spreadsheets can make mundane and repetitive tasks faster and less error-prone. After all, less time wrangling data means more time being able to understand what it’s telling us.

They are a fabulously versatile tool that can help save you time and frustration. But hold on Alison, aren't they complicated? Honestly, they really don't have to be. I have over 30 years experience using spreadsheets and, trust me, I know a few of the things you NEED to know and can steer you away from the things you don't. My favourite uses for spreadsheets are Organisation - set your spreadsheet up so that it will tell you the things that are important and save you time doing it manually. For example, do you have a list of prospects and customers you want to follow up with? Let your spreadsheet show you the ones you need to call today, the ones you'll need to call tomorrow (and possibly the ones you should have called yesterday!) Metrics - all businesses generate data but are you using it effectively? Do you want to easily turn it information? Would it be useful to who your best customers are and where they heard about you? Just imagine how much easier it would be to make strategic decisions for your business based on what's working well and what's not? I unapologetically LOVE spreadsheets because they make my life easier and save me time. If you run a business and you'd like to know more about how spreadsheets could help you, I would love to chat.
