Since 1 Jan 2022, you must complete customs declarations on imports from the EU to Great Britain (GB) at the time you or your courier/freight forwarder bring them into GB. Making full customs declarations can no longer be delayed. Failing to comply may mean goods are held up and additional charges incurred. 

In this webinar international trade expert Mike Wilson from Go Exporting Ltd will explain what small business owners need to know about submitting customs declarations on time. He will cover the differences between full and simplified customs declarations, the evidence you need to supply, and how to hire an expert to help. Mike will offer an overview of the customs declarations rules including: 

• Importing goods from the EU to Great Britain 
• Exporting goods from Great Britain to the EU 
• The difference between a full customs declaration and a simplified customs declaration 

The change does not yet apply for goods moving from Ireland to Great Britain. Rules may be different for Northern Ireland. Contact the Trader Support Service for up to date guidance and support.
