Emma is founder of Enterprise Nation. Emma joined international accounting firm Arthur Andersen, before starting her own business in 2000, which was successfully sold two years later.
Emma then launched Enterprise Nation and has since written a number of bestselling business books, includingSpare Room Start-Up, Working 5 to 9, Go Global and the StartUp Kit.
Emma was a co-founder of StartUp Britain in 2011 was appointed one of the prime minister's Trade Ambassadors in 2015 and Small Business Representative for the Crown in June 2016. Find out more about Emma.
With a background in organisational development and operational management and having grown start-up businesses to a national scale, it is Helen's role to support the brilliant Enterprise Nation team to realise their full potential and keep the focus on delivering the best possible service for members.
Helen is also dedicated to encouraging young people to start their own business and believes that anything is possible!
Richard Harpin is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the UK. In 1993 Richard established Homeserve as a joint venture with South Staffordshire Water and built it into one of the UK's largest home emergency businesses. It has since expanded into France, the USA and Spain. In 2017, HomeServe acquired 100% of Checkatrade.com
Richard set up investment vehicle, Growth Partner, in 2015 as a way to invest in some of Britain’s most talented entrepreneurs and to nurture and scale promising businesses.
Growth Partner invested in Enterprise Nation in 2017.
Gerard is Managing Director of Growth Partner and, in this capacity, supports the Enterprise Nation team to effectively deliver on their annual business plan.
Gerard established AIM listed investment company Springboard plc. He became finance director and backed management teams to complete a dozen buy-ins and developed a portfolio of more than 20 early stage investments before selling the company in 2006. He has served in non-executive and consulting capacities, providing objective and independent strategic guidance to boards.

This has given Rob a broad and pragmatic perspective that he uses to help organisations make good decisions about technology that drive true business value.
Richard is an experienced founder with a demonstrated history of working in the management consulting and business support industry.
Richard is skilled in business planning, coaching, entrepreneurship, accounting, and venture capital.
Billy is responsible for ensuring the technology at Enterprise Nation runs smoothly. This involves all elements from data security to platform development.
Billy is a Microsoft pro and keeps an open mind and active watch-out for emerging technologies that will benefit the Enterprise Nation community.
With 20 years of experience, Dan is a freelance journalist who has interviewed hundreds of entrepreneurs from billionaires like Sir Richard Branson to brand new start-ups.
As Enterprise Nation’s news reporter, Dan tracks the latest rules, regulations and government policy decisions that affect small businesses. He shares regular updates and analysis on our blog.
Kieran oversees Enterprise Nation's relationships with major brands including Vodafone, Uber, Google and TSB. With a five-year history at the company, Kieran is the go-to person when it comes to planning new campaigns and ensuring our amazing partner and corporate brands benefit from engagement with small businesses.
His other loves in life are Dulwich Hamlet and Harlequins.

Polly Dhaliwal oversees the Enterprise Nation platform which is the beating heart of the company. She strives every day to ensure we are doing the job of connecting small businesses to the support they need and that client programmes are effectively deployed on the platform. She is passionate about helping start-ups and small businesses grow and providing them with the right resources at the right time.
Polly loves travelling and has her own podcast.
Jess studied Business Management and Marketing at King's College London and has been involved with Enterprise Nation ever since.
She's very enthusiastic about helping people turn their passions into businesses, and works in the events team spreading the word about our fantastic business events.
Holly is based in Manchester, and from the great city oversees the marketing for programmes that support small businesses to start and grow. Holly wants to reach as many aspiring entrepreneurs as possible to provide them with resources and tools to make their business dreams come true.
When not working, she enjoys finding independent restaurants and getting her steps in.
Luke studied computer science before joining Enterprise Nation as a technical apprentice. Luke supports the technical team with requests and front and back end edits, while building his knowledge of web development at the same time.

She does this via her role as head of marketing, where Lorna ensures that entrepreneurs are aware of the support they need to make their ventures flourish.
Prior to Enterprise Nation, Lorna worked in events and marketing for national enterprise campaign StartUp Britain, where she ran high-profile initiatives that aimed to accelerate start-up rates in the UK.
Diane curates and manages programmes that support our members – whatever the stage of their business.
Passionate about start-ups, Diane spent six years in Hong Kong before joining Enterprise Nation, where she helped to develop a flourishing start-up ecosystem.
A true world traveller, Diane’s career has taken her from London to Hong Kong and Beijing, via Abu Dhabi, and back again.
Cliona focuses on the day to day development of the Enterprise Nation platform ensuring all partner projects and new feature releases are delivered.
Cliona has over 6 years experience in product management and works closely with the Enterprise Nation team and key stakeholders across the business.
Andre is responsible for ensuring that the Enterprise Nation platform is intuitive and easy to use for its community and advisers.
Andre has over 8 years experience designing web and mobile applications. An avid digital tinkerer, Andre had previously co-founded a blockchain startup and an online job board (wfhpad.com) to support displaced non-specialized people during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Grace has a degree in Events Management from Manchester Met University, with experience of managing virtual events and campaigns. Grace is passionate about empowering the voices of graduates and industry newcomers. In her spare time, Grace loves to be creative through volunteering and contributing to her blog!
Nicola is our Ireland based team member, helping to drive Enterprise Nation activity across the island.
Passionate about business, Nicola has spent the past 5 years supporting businesses of all sizes, in various sectors and at different stages of their journey.
Any spare time Nicola has is spent at the local GAA field - playing, coaching and as a spectator.
Liz is a PR specialist focusing on keeping small businesses and start-ups front and centre of the broader media agenda. That means telling the very real and brilliant stories about the UK's small business community and the work Enterprise Nation and its partners do to support them.
Before joining Enterprise Nation as content manager in October 2021, Marc held a similar role at the British Business Bank. There, he was in charge of content for several websites and spent much of his time writing articles for the benefit of the small business community. Prior to that, Marc worked in content roles for a digital marketing and SEO agency, a software company and an international law firm.
Not content (no pun intended) with producing content during working hours only, Marc has a master’s degree in screenwriting and likes writing film scripts—when he can find the time. At present, a two-year-old son keeps him from indulging in many of his interests, including films, books and playing the guitar.

Karla is the Programmes Assistant at Enterprise Nation; she is responsible for providing support across various projects. She has a degree in Political Science and a MSc in Public Policy and Administration from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Her background is in project management in the public and private sector in Peru, and international organisations. Karla is passionate about helping the most vulnerable communities and having a positive impact in the lives of small business owners.
Amy is a Programme Manager with over 5 years’ experience in project management across a variety of projects and campaigns including for small businesses.
At Enterprise Nation, Amy splits her time between delivering a pilot programme supporting young people to start or grow their own business in London and delivering StartUp UK, a campaign which will encourage 1 million people to start their own business within three years.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys yoga and exploring new places.
Lisa is a Programme Manager working on small business support programmes for central government and local councils.
With over 10 years' experience in start-up support and community engagement, Lisa is committed to empowering individuals and groups through enterprise education. Prior to joining Enterprise Nation, Lisa has worked in the charity sector and for a local authority.
Other life passions include travelling and skiing.
Prior to joining Enterprise Nation as Platform Partnership Manager, Mark spent 7 years working in Higher Education responsible for improving the student experience, before moving into EdTech selling and managing recruitment-based solutions software to a variety of customers in the education sector.
Mark's main focus at Enterprise Nation is developing partnerships for the platform, as well as the acquisition of advisers who are best placed to provide the support small businesses owners need to start and grow their own business.
In his spare time, Mark can be found playing rugby at London Welsh RFC or watching his beloved Liverpool Football Club.
Carolyn is an experienced data analyst with a passion for CRM. She is responsible for collecting and analysing business data to provide insights and intelligence to help Enterprise Nation operate effectively.
In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys playing badminton.
Gráinne’s background is in events management and coaching. She enjoys the job satisfaction of seeing events come to life and is passionate about helping others.
Gráinne manages a variety of programmes for Enterprise Nation and is a champion for female entrepreneurs as she is keen to help empower them with their business endeavours.
In her spare time, she can be found weightlifting, hiking or sea swimming.
Matt joined Enterprise Nation, having spent 6 years working in the charity sector as part of the professional sports organisations, Dragons Rugby and Harlequins. Matt has extensive experience of building community-facing partnerships on a local and national scale, most recently supporting the Metropolitan Police Task Force to shape their sports engagement strategy throughout London.
Matt joins as Partnerships Manager and is responsible for building long-term partnerships with like-minded organisations and partners in order to best support small businesses throughout the Enterprise Nation community.

Iryna has joined the Enterprise Nation team, moving from Ukraine to London. She has five years of experience in social media marketing and content creation.
Prior to Enterprise Nation, Iryna worked at an innovation park in Kyiv, helping to develop the start-up ecosystem in Ukraine and run her own small e-commerce business.
Iryna is a passionate traveller and has visited 45+ countries, mostly by hitchhiking.
Amelia is our community manager and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience within corporate, local government and charitable sectors. As well as running her own business for a number of years.

Outside of work she can be found walking her naughty beagle Bruno, socialising whilst exercising at her local gym or taking every opportunity she can to tick off more countries on her travel wish list. Having grown up in Zimbabwe and been fortunate to travel extensively whilst working on cruise ships her desire is as strong as ever!

Emini is our Senior Platform Account Manager working with key partners across Enterprise Nation, to help them deliver business support to their communities.
Emini has worked with many leading brands over the years to help improve their digital presence; such as ASOS, Grazia, Empire, Walt Disney and Cult Beauty.
Montell joins the team as Programmes Coordinator after spending the previous years working across various different programme management roles, including at the National Theatre.
