Black women have played a crucial role in shaping the history of our country, inspiring change and building communities. Their dedication is creating a bright future for generations to come.

Watch the stories of three Black female founders making it big in London with their innovative tech businesses.

Chantelle Bell, co-founder of Syrona Health

In this short video, Chantelle shares insights from her remarkable journey as a founder. Her story is one of perseverance, passion and support from the people around her.

As a trailblazer in the healthtech industry, she's transforming how women and men can access personalised support for typically underserved health conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis and menopause.

Chantelle developed her entrepreneurial streak at school, selling things online and to her friends. Her interest in healthcare and science formed too during that time. When she turned 21, she saw an opportunity to merge her two passions and create her own business, and that's where her digital healthcare platform Syrona Health was born.

Cynthia Davis CBE, founder and CEO of Diversifying Group

We're honoured to have Cynthia Davis CBE give us a glimpse into her world as a highly successful Black female business founder.

Cynthia is not only an incredible tech leader but also a passionate diversity and inclusion specialist. Her mission is to help organisations embrace inclusivity and offer equal opportunities when hiring new talent, so they can better reflect our wonderfully diverse society.

Cynthia entered recruitment with the simple aim to help people find jobs. Struggling to get finance for her business, she made the decision to fund it herself. And she hasn't looked back, turning that first £3,000 into the multi-million-pound business it is now, Diversifying Group.

She says:

"What I've learned as a Black female founder is resilience. Above everything it's just to always persevere, completely back myself and know that I'm worthy and that what I do does make a difference."

Angie Madara, co-founder of Athena FundX

Watch this video to hear Angie Madara, co-founder of Athena FundX, discuss her experiences as a business founder.

Angie avidly promotes the empowerment of women and people from diverse backgrounds. Her mission with Athena Fund X is to help women working in the tech industry to be more innovative. She strongly believes that every woman out there has the potential to be an entrepreneur.

Angie cites her two daughters as a source of inspiration and motivation, and wants to make sure she provides a path into entrepreneurship for young people like them.
