My clients started a business and have created value for their customers and their team. The next step is getting the business to run well when they are away from it. I spent 25 years in global financial markets across sales, finance, operations and risk. I learnt how large organisations set direction and make sure people are accountable for what they do. I use this knowledge to help owners build the same discipline, which delivers growth and clear control over who does what and when. My approach offers owners a framework that fits their management style. It removes the need to keep checking that work is done to the right standard. This frees the owner to focus on the big picture and gives them the time to deliver growth. We meet every two weeks on a schedule agreed with the owner. The owner sets the agenda for each session, so our time goes on the issues that matter most to them at that point. Between meetings, the owner and their team put agreed actions into practice, and we review what worked at the next session. One client grew revenue four times over three years while working through a complex set of challenges. Another, the owner of a heating and air conditioning engineering firm, worked with me on recruitment, delegation and the firm's direction. After working with us for just three months, they were able to step back from the daily running of the business by delegating activities to their team. Now their focus is on the next big leap for their business. I am a Fellow of the Association of Business Mentors and hold the ILM Level 7 Certificate for Executive and Senior Level Coaches and Mentors. I am also a senior lecturer at the Claude Littner Business School, University of West London. My clients run firms in logistics, the creative industries and professional services, in London and across the UK. I take on a small number of owners at a time so each has my full attention.
